Shonn (Insert Your Own Adjective Here) Greene

It's still the 4th quarter-Greene just scored again-and I think we can "Put this one on the boaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaard-yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees"!

How incredible is this guy? He puts the team on his back and ran all over Wisconsin today. Greene has made the Hawkeye Nation believe again and he has NFL scouts looking at Iowa City for talent once again.

For the second week in a row, we can't help but wonder where we would be if we didn't give those 3 losses away. At this point, we are 5-3 and 2 wins away from being bowl eligible. Although 8-9 wins would be a lot better-7 will surpass what experts picked for us this year. They way we have been playing, we could get 8 or 9. A finish like this would put us on the radar for next year for sure.

For now we look ahead to Illinois. A win here would put us in the drivers seat for a big finish. A win against the Illini would fire everyone up just in time for Penn State's arrival in Iowa City.

We have not been beaten this year by another team. Our three losses were all self-inflicted. Although Wisconsin is certainly no Penn St., we proved what can happen when we're on all cylinders. If we play every game as we played against Wisconsin, we will not lose again for the remainder of the season. I see very few weaknesses in a team that is really a full package; what's more impressive is that we are a fairly youthful team.

As I reflect on Shonn Green today, it is bittersweet. He has had a truly amazing season, capped off by an unbelievable performance yesterday. If he stays healthy, there is no doubt that he will be considered a strong Heisman candidate. However, I am a bit saddened that chances are this young man will go for the big money and enter the draft next year. At this point, he looks and plays like an NFL running back.

Now on to the Bye week and well deserved rest.
